"A Flawless Diamond in the Heart of Dixie"

The Rays may not have the prettiest major league stadium but their AA and AAA parks are some of the best in all of the minor leagues. Paul Swaney of StadiumJourney.com recently paid a visit to Riverwalk Stadium and had some very nice things to say about the place. Click here to read his full review.

  1. Bob R. says:

I agree. My son and I visited Montgomery in 2007 specifically to go to that ball park. We saw 2 games with the added attraction that both Brignac and Longoria were playing there at the time. Brignac had a great series by the way. The ball park is beautiful, convenient (we stayed at a motel within walking distance) and near a terrific brew pub.

Montgomery seemed run down to us, but has an important history and is worth a visit. We toured the Hank Williams museum too; apparently they are looking for a bigger space.

    • I haven’t had the pleasure of going myself, yet. I’ve been to Damashke Field up in Oneonta, the old park in Durham, the old and new one in Jacksonville, Tinker Field, the Disney park when the O-Rays were there, and the park in Memphis.

  2. Jason, Take the time to make a visit to Riverwalk Satdium in Montgomery because trust me, you won’t regret it! This coming weekend would be a perfect time. The Biscuits have a home stand with West Tenn. and there will be fireworks on both Friday and Saturday nights!

    Just saying…

  3. I wish I could make it out this week but alas, no travels for me as I have to be in the office all week. The closest I got recently was a trip to Pensacola last week.
