BHSN: Is David Price Cy Young Worthy?

Since Price took the mound as the American League All-Star Game starter, Price entered the Cy Young discussion that was primarily dominated by C.C. Sabathia of the New York Yankees. Those two have faced off in two huge games in September and the Rays won both contests, but the national discussion has still focused on one stat: 21 wins by Sabathia.

While wins are useful to decide which team plays in the post-season and which team stays home, it is an utterly useless way to differentiate two pitchers”

  1. Gatorbuc15 says:

    In one word: YES!

But I already know that your in love with King Felix though Jason. So I’m sorry to disagree with you man. lol

  2. Leslie says:

I would go with Felix right now.

Price had his chance, but his medicore performance against the Yankees doomed his chances of winning it. To me, Felix Hernandez has been dominating all year despite his losses with lack of run support.

  3. Gatorbuc15 says:

I partialy agree that he should win it, but the voters look at wins more than ERA I’m afraid.
He just doesn’t stand a chance.

  4. The fan in me wants Price to win but the analyst recognizes that Felix is more deserving.
