Dan Syzmborski Releases 2013 Rays Zips Projections

Dan’s Zips projections are one of the best forecasting tools for baseball players around. Year in and year out he shows that he’s got a real handle on position players and isn’t half bad when it comes to pitchers, too. I don’t have a lot to comment on other than that I’ve put everything into a spreadsheet that can be viewed and downloaded as a Google Drive file.

Alternatively, you can directly download the file: 2013 Rays Zips  This can be nice if you want to keep the formatted links and whatnot.

The only other thing to add is that I’ve seen David Price as a CC Sabathia clone for year so it’s nice that Zips agrees with me. I also think the Longoria wOBA projection is a tad pessimistic as Evan has shown steady improvement and was looking like a top-5 MLB batter prior to the hamstring injury last year. Still, he looks nice. Don’t pay much attention to the PA figures as they’re the least reliable and hardest to project stuff here.  Any thoughts?

Last year you put together a really cool projections tools related to zips and other forecasts. I’m wondering if you have that for 2014.
