Previewing Game 7 @ Texas Rangers

The Rays look to face a Texas Rangers team that somehow seems to be slipping under the radar.  R.J. Anderson has a nice look at tonight’s starter Alexi Ogando and here’s a statistical look from Baseball-Reference that contains some interesting nuggs.  Here’s my wOBA projections for the game:

Coming off yesterday’s off day against the Indians the Rays should be well rested, but Ogando is an animal and the Rays don’t really have a lefty in the lineup that anyone in the league takes seriously so expect the Rays to roll over.  Hellickson profiles nicely against this team as Ronny Wash’s flaws usually lead him to running a subpar lineup out there, but in the end the Rangers look to be too much for tonight.  I’ve got the Rangers as the favorite and have them winning around 58% of the time.  I hope I’m wrong.  Go Rays!
